Our Training Programme
Information Systems is responsible for the supply and maintenance of information systems to the business and comprises the following departments: Service Management, Development and Plan & Support.
IS Industrial placement students will join one of these IS departments. Other placements may become available in our Trading, Finance department, HR or our support function, Procurement. Please monitor this website as further details will appear here as vacancies are confirmed.
Through the programme, you will gain experience in all aspects of the area in which you are placed and a good knowledge of RWE Systems UK and the way we work.
The placement will start in September 2008 and will run for a minimum of 43 weeks and provide just the same kind of experience that you'd expect as a new graduate. You will be set your own objectives, have one to one meetings with your manager and be given a formal review half way through the year. There is plenty of support too, we will provide you with a buddy who can offer advice and guidance and act as a sounding board if you have any queries.
The scheme is open to anyone who is eligible to work in the United Kingdom and has completed the second year of their degree. It doesn't matter what subject you are studying, the only thing that is essential is a real passion for IT!
We offer a salary of £16,000 per year, with a holiday entitlement of 25 days plus a commitment to learning and development that is second to none.
For outstanding candidates there is potential to receive company sponsorship for your final year.
